Worked his arse off and was out on his feet at the end, have to respect that. Few good blocks but I thought he got fairly dominated in the midfield.

6/10.......showed more when the game predictably slowed down in the second half, after running around like a fool for an hour. Need Lucas back ASAP, but at least he was there at the end even though he looked physically drained.

Just far too action packed in the first 50mins for him. Not a smart game, is the best I could say, but necessary at times.

Not really, they barely did anything outside of the first 5mins and the last 2 mins of the first half.

He was lucky not to have given away a penalty. He improved as the game wore on, but I still don't think he is good enough for us in the long term.

I think the role in the team makes the person playing there seem like they've played well. Lucas was the reason for our improvement, first name on the sheet comments etc, yet we continue to win without Lucas. Now Allen gets plaudits from people for doing very little. The player in that role gets lots of the ball and will have options to pass to. Yet he gave a clumsy foul away which should of been a pen, got knocked off the ball and gave a dangerous free kick away. He's average. He did his job and nothing more. I realise it sounds bitter and will let the Allen fans have their day. Stepping away. Its opinions after all. We won!

Totally agree, I just don't know what the point of him is. What exactly is he good at?

And here was me wondering why our defense was under increased pressure as the ball spent next to no time in their final third. Midfield was in constant peril as we found ourselves unable to cope with their high pressure for large portions of that game.

We got the win, got a few decisions our way etc, but lets not try to re-write the passage of that game.It was tough, we were slower to a lot of the play, and we got the breaks. It was a 6/10 performance at best from Joe, but he's not alone out there today........we probably averaged little more than that across the board.

Indeed, no need to try and make out they smashed through our midfield whenever they got the ball and pounded our goal because that simply wasnt the case. They had a good first 5 minutes, a good 2 mins at the end of the half and did **** all else for the other 83 minutes.

Yeah done ok in first half when Besiktas weren't in the game. From teh second half onwards he was shocking. Can was worse though.
