Sounds like the player we tried to replace him with.

That must be it alright. So good offloaded to Chelsea after a year, so good there was offloaded to the mighty Fenerbache after a year.

Yes, well not sure you can compare Chelsea's policy to ours, but the fact we replaced him with Adam suggests we where the crazy ones. Not that your argument is a worthwhile one. Just look at the deterioration of our attacking play when he left. His link up play with Suarez was excellent.

lets judge Joe next season. see how he settles in over a whole season and how the team around him improves.

the team as a whole are making mistakes and in a team game, a few mistakes in one position puts a lot of pressure onto other areas of the team, particularly CM.

he's carrying the can for a lot of the screw ups the rest of the team have made which is a tad harsh is it not.

Seeing a bit of an alarming trend of lfc fans turning on young players who are trying to settle & develop. Lucas being the obvious example, henderson and allen imho will be the same so I hope we keep them. That midfield three with suarez in front will be very effective with a bit more experience and a more consistent team around them.

we could do with a touch more experience around the place. shame we lost kuyt frankly as we've missed him this season with borini out for so long.

It may even be next season until we see the "real" Joe Allen.

Clearly something is not right as his timing (ball interception, closing down, marking, even passing etc.) is completely off which was one of his biggest attributes at the beginning of the season but I do think fatigue has lot to do with that.
It looks like it's going to be one or the other then in the first team. Not too unhappy about that as long as we keep both players

Wasn't comparing policies and didn't mention Adam. Meireles couldn't cut it in the premier league. 2 clubs in 2 years, and off to the wilderness in what should be the prime of his career.

And to be fair no argument is really worth while with you... as you are never wrong

In what way could he not cut it with us?

You realise that him being transferred is not always a reflection on how he played don't you?

2 clubs in two seasons, average performances, both offloaded him & now he plays in the mighty Süper Lig.

And he would still walk into our side.

He really would, better than Allen and Henderson by some way.

                                was just kidding dude.

I always thought Meireles wouldn't cut it in the premier league, he was okish playing in a more forward role but he's very timid and really didn't make an impact in his 2 seasons , apart from 4 game purple patch at LFC. The shaved head and tattoo's don't fool anyone, he is a windbag. Allen & Henderson IMO are average,as is Meireles if slightly better... then again we're kind of average too. (I'd start Henderson ahead of Allen at moment).

Been saying for awhile that we need better than Allen and Henderson.. which is fairly obvious. Whether or not it will be address.. only Rodgers knows, i hope so.
