Ah, of course he does. Bugger.

We really need to make a couple of sigings in January. Not at the end of the window either, we need to get people in as soon as possible.

I know it sounds like a baseball phrase but maybe we should start saying things like, "We need to get someone in at the top of the January window, not the bottom of the window."

      It's more graphic.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

        Very American indeed.

Do you think we need a new reserve goaltender in January, Neil?

        Comment

No. We need to shore up the defense and maybe have a little more offensive capability. The franchise is clearly short of weapons on the offensive side of the ball but it all comes down to who steps up to the plate when the opposition has a double powerplay and we're playing a full court press. Basically we just need to make it count when we're in the red zone, avoid foul trouble down the stretch, win the face-off and net those three pointers when we've got an at bat.

Despite my prompts she kept getting it wrong and eventually they just decided to leave in her mistake.

This reminds me of the Red-Sox coach. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice! Agree with everything you said here, it all makes perfect sense.

                              Very exciting little player.

Difficult to judge after only seeing him ten times but he's very interesting to watch and we might well have a little bargain on our hands here.
