Downing and Coutinho are ahead of him now - and with no cups to play.... :-(
Do still need confidence to run in open spaces and to attack the ball in the pen.area, but besides that he mus give some competition for the wing. But if Downing isn't sold - and Ince brought in in the summer - I would expect him to be the one to leave.- - - - -

We should retire his squad number as a mark of respect..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

After his cameo yesterday - and Raheem's drop off in form - I wouldn't be surprised if he's ahead of Sterling in the pecking order now. Let's see what he can do for the rest of the season and take Sterling out the firing line. If he impresses enough, keep him and - if not - shouldn't affect his price if we sell him back to Holland.

He was a breath of fresh air tbh. Just his confidence to actually try and beat his full back was refreshing, and he linked up quite well with Enrique (who was excellent again).
I concur that he should be ahead of Raheem in the pecking order. He could yet salvage his career here."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley
