C5 are repeating Being Liverpool at lunchtimes this week and today's included Assaidi's arrival at Melwood for his medical. He was greeted very warmly by Brendan, so warmly if it was me I'd be speaking to HR about respecting boundaries. Not Brendan's signing my arse. Brendan loved him until he turned out to be a bit **** at football.

If Brendan is your type....Originally posted by dom9 View PostNothing wrong with man cuddles.
It was that thing he does where he holds someone's cheek in his hand, fingers round towards the back of their head, you half expect him to go in for a snog.Last edited by Catrin; 20-02-13, 06:08 PM.Never knowingly optimistic

When that programme Being Liverpool was filmed, BR was just pure buzzing with excitement so its no surprise the warm welcome Oussama got from him.
I would have liked to have seen him feature a tad more, maybe in games we have been winning comfortably like on Sunday. Who knows, with a boost in confidence he might show some quality.

Maybe but BR is the one who signed him and you would expect that he would give him few more playing chances before giving up on him especially as our wing options are pretty limited.Originally posted by Sarb View PostHe made some nice runs, dribbles etc. But never saw much else from him. Maybe doesn't show enough in training either. Hpoefully can get close to what we paid for him
I thought he was decent in those few rare games that he was featured and it is unfortunate that things are not working out for him.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

It seems he has Pacheco syndrome.
I think we will end up paying his contract off.The times they are a changin'.

I don't think we will experience any significant loss as he was a cheap buy and I wouldn't be surprised if goes back to Eredivisie in the summer for the similar amount we paid for him.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostIt seems he has Pacheco syndrome.

Not really imo, wasn't much of a risk at the fee. Reminds me a bit of a Nunez / Leto / Gonzales type signing, hasn't worked out (so far) but he'll just be moved on for a similar fee to what we spent and nobody really ends up much worse off.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Postwhat a joke of a signing.I could not dig, I dared not rob:

I thought we blamed our transfers on the lack of a scouting department?Originally posted by -V- View PostAt the time we signed him it sounded a lot like he was tracked by our scouts and Ayre went ahead with the signing on back of advice from our scouting department. Don't think Rodgers knew much about him
Anyhoo, I don't *think* it was Ayre's fault, but it's Shaggy who is the ITK on this transfer, from memory.
