Haha take it someone saw him at the reserve game and rushed to put money on when he was just there watching his brother.

I know he was there to see his brother play for Southampton, but if we could get Sinclair for a really low fee I think it might be an ok signing to be honest as a replacement to Downing.

Swansea was his level. We need much better than him if we want to get back into the CL, it really is that simple.

A few thought that about our last City/Chelsea reject. Rodgers had him at Chelsea so should know enough about him if he makes his move.

                      And Swansea

All about his attitude for me, if he is hungry and wants to play, improve, work hard and give 100% then I think he could be a shrewd signing.

Mirror were reporting that West Brom were confident of getting him on loan with a full transfer next summer.

It would seem very odd to get rid of one functional but unexceptional player to replace him with another. I suppose we might make a saving on the wages and Sinclair is faster than Downing.

I agree that Rodgers would know all about him. I suspect that is why we won't be in for him though.

Is he? I am not sure about that tbh. Agree with the last sentence though.

Our transfer committee and head scouts are from man city so they too will have seen Sinclair first hand, I doubt they've seen anything to get excited about. He's a functional player but is he better than what we've got?

Perhaps has better acceleration would be more accurate but Downing rarely has pace in match situations. I remember that clip from his last season where it showed once he got going he had good pace. It was the last time I saw him do that though.
