Thanjk you.

I know he was there to see his brother play for Southampton, but if we could get Sinclair for a really low fee I think it might be an ok signing to be honest as a replacement to Downing.
It would seem very odd to get rid of one functional but unexceptional player to replace him with another. I suppose we might make a saving on the wages and Sinclair is faster than Downing.
I agree that Rodgers would know all about him. I suspect that is why we won't be in for him though.

Is he? I am not sure about that tbh. Agree with the last sentence though.

Our transfer committee and head scouts are from man city so they too will have seen Sinclair first hand, I doubt they've seen anything to get excited about. He's a functional player but is he better than what we've got?

Perhaps has better acceleration would be more accurate but Downing rarely has pace in match situations. I remember that clip from his last season where it showed once he got going he had good pace. It was the last time I saw him do that though.
