    ----Gerrard-----------------Borini

    ----------------Suarez------

Compare this team from a game last season, on my phone so would take to much effort at this time on a Saturday night

Edit: I could think of a team but couldn't actually put a formation to it and be 100% sure it was correct

Comes across very well, he's a very well spoken young man who obviously loves his football. Ticks all the boxes so far
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

          I really like him

If I actually buy a shirt this season gonna get his name on the back.

So we hope to see him make his debut vs Hearts on Thursday? Something like this?

I suppose that depends if Carroll & Adam are still with us ?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Great to hear him speaking English - I was wondering how he'd get on speaking Turkish or German.

Can't wait to see him in the team.

Nuri Sahin has revealed how he was present for one of the biggest nights of Liverpool Football Club's history in Istanbul.

Our new No.4, who signed a season-long loan deal with the Reds today, was at the Ataturk Stadium as Rafael Benitez's side came from three goals down to beat AC Milan on penalties in the 2005 Champions League final.

Sahin takes up the story: "I know a lot about Liverpool Football Club - I know it is a very big club with a huge history, with big players and big trophies. When they won the biggest trophy in 2005, I was in the stadium in Istanbul. It was my first taste of Liverpool.

"That year, I won the European U17 Championship with Turkey, so we were invited by the Turkish Football Federation to watch the game.

"We were sitting near to where the Liverpool fans were and it was just a crazy, crazy night. It was then I saw what football and Liverpool Football Club means to the people."

                      Rodgers plays guitar

“I promise players three things,’’ the Irishman reflected of his talks with Sahin. “The first is my communication. I won’t bluff players, I’ll be totally honest and open with them.

"The second is that they’ll become better, that the quality of work will improve them as players.

"Thirdly I promise ambition. I want to be the very, very best I possibly can. I grew from nothing into something through sheer ambition and work and determination. If they don’t go for that I’ll just take out my guitar and sing some Irish songs!”

I bet the pr guys were thinking how are we going to spin this to make it look like nuri didnt want to go to arsenal.

Istanbul is that perfect headline. a bit cynical if you ask me but im delighted to have him neverhteless.

I'm slightly worried only in that we're spending a lot of money on a player that's likely to play for us for one season only and it's not enough for us to get in the top 4.

If we sign a decent striker then my worries will be gone.

It's a tricky one this as Sahin is here (on the face of it) for such a short time he hasn't got the luxury of a settling-in period that could be used to explain away a less than stellar start. He's pretty much got to hit the ground running (within a game or two) in order to be of use to us. And if the quoted figures are correct (circa £10 mil for a one year rental) he needs to be a significant factor in a significant improvement of our fortunes to justify the outlay.

If we fail to qualify for the CL then we're pretty much still in the same boat in terms of revenue potential and attractiveness to permanent-transfer targets.
