Based on what we've seen so far, what would you guys reckon his price tag would be?

fink he still has a fair way to go to get to the form he has shown previously.Originally posted by kris90210 View PostBased on what we've seen so far, what would you guys reckon his price tag would be?
8m now, 12-15m if he steps up.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

me too but I'm sure his best is yet to come

Sahin is still getting his fitness back from a year out of top-level competition. He has scored three goals and created another three whilst trying to get that fitness back. Having only started seven games, I think that's pretty good. It's certainly way, way too early to be writing him off.
For me, his talent level is beyond debate; he has proven to be one of the top players in his position in Europe. As fans, we need to be a bit more patient with players. Especially when they're as obviously talented as this one. We also need to be understanding of the surrounding factors: Not only has he had a year out, but he is in a new country, in a new team, with a new manager and a group of players only just finding their feet.
He's something special and we'd be utterly daft to throw that away.

. He had a injury at the start of the last season (I think he was out for 2/3 months). He has been training as normal since although he didn't play many games for Real. My biggest criticism of Sahin is his lack of speed and his inability to press with great intensity. There are two elements to tika taka - swift passing/ball retention (which Sahin has) and pressing when not in possession (something he is not very good at). Now lack of speed for deep lying midfielders is not a problem (Alonso being a good example) but Sahin plays an advanced position and his lack of pace IMO is a problem. It's quite painful watching players jog past him and that will leave us exposed. He would be luxury signing IMO given our budget, I think the money will be better spent elsewhere. Real look like they will be demanding £15m + which is not good value for money. Plus Joe Allen will be pushed into his position when Lucas is back and I'd take Joe Allen over Sahin any day of the week.

for what Real Madrid paid and the fact that they have indicated they want a profit, but probably not silly money, I think we would do remarkably well to spend the 15m elsewhere and get a better player.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
