He was brought in to gives us some valuable experience and numbers ( and competition) in midfield but mostly excitement and hope for fans as we had no money to bring top quality players this past summer.

Rodgers has been trusting Shelvey ahead of Sahin for a few weeks now. Maybe to give Shelvey some vital experience. But I reckon that's it for the Shelvey Experiment and Sahin will be played just behind Suarez against QPR.

Didn't watch much of Being Liverpool, but did see the scene where Brendo was telling Shelvey he trusts him to know what to do with the ball in front of goal, etc. And to be fair Shelves did at the start of the season. But he's dipped badly, so much so that we're usually a man down already when he's on the team. However, I respect Brendo for doing what we all wanted: give Shelvey a real, proper chance as we all believe in him (still).
