    Andre Wisdom

    Very very impressive and assured debut.

    Kelly will soon be facing a lot of competition for his place.

    Not a right back though is he? thought Wisdom played CB by trade.

    Decent debut, lovely header, but he's not ready yet, not by a long way.

    I know it's easy to do but we can't get ahead of ourselves with our youngsters.
    The times they are a changin'.

      Great debut, well put together, looked very composed out there and my god what a leap and goal

      Very very good performance

        Yeah, I think we're really looking at a couple of years before he's a real challenger for a first team place on merit; like most young defenders he has so much to learn and can improve a lot, however the guy is definitely a real prospect and seems like he might well have "it".

          * Suso
          * Stirling
          * Ngoo

            Reminded me that a caller to LFCTV last night seemed to think that Wisdom was N'goo. Gave me a good LOL.

              Must admit I've never been impressed with him at right back but last night was a real pleasant surprise. He's surged past Coady in development terms. He reminds me a bit of Micah Richards, at least in terms of him being an absolute beast at such a young age. It's easy for him to bully younger lads at U21 level but it was fantastic to see him hold his own last night. Looks really confident and he's not afraid to be vocal with more experienced players.

              Really excited about the players coming through our academy now.

                He has really good feet* too. Did a couple of nice turns with the ball to get away from the attacker closing him down and retain possession.

                  Is he a centre back by trade? All the times I've seen him play he was at right back. Think this position suits him.

                      I probably wouldn't put Ngoo on that list at this point, he can be very inconsistent - especially with his finishing.
                      We come not to play.

                        That surprised me the most.

                        He's never going to be an attacking fullback but if he can give just additional strength and height at the back he'll be a useful squad member until he matures into his natural CB position.

                          Good, solid debut from the boy. Chuffed that he scored too.

                            I've always had high hopes for this kid, glad to see he hasn't gone unnoticed by Rodgers.

                              Who knows? He has played every position in the youth/reserve team ranks. When I say every position I mean right wing, right back, midfield and centre back and he was damn good in all those positions. IIRC, he got moved to centre back when he got to reserve level and has played almost every game for the reserves at centre back and he is a lethal centre back!
