I think thats because usually the drama is on our doorstep. But now things are steady, maybe we can take a step back watch everyone else flail about. Well, until its our turn again.

I really think Wisdom is more than capable to cover for Johnson.

Wisdom has looked a bit dodgy on the right this season. I'd like Kelly to come back in, if he's fit enough.

I've been a huge fan of Wisdom's in the reserves. On and off the field (apparently he's a joker in the dressing room and a great motivator for the young 'uns).

I always forgave defensive lapses because he was either moved out right or partnered with liabilities like McGivoren or Sama. But unfortunately I'm noticing that goals are still being leaked now that he has classier players around him.

I would worry if he played in our defence against intelligent footballers, which both Swansea and Southampton have in abundance.

Would rather play Wisdom over Kelly at RB, personally.

Ideally would have liked to loan him out with Kelly as cover for Johnson, but so long as he gets games here it will be ok until January.

i like them both personally and have had high hopes for both since i first saw them

yeah there might be a few things that need ironing out with both, but christ even paolo maldini made errors that cost games

they are both young lads, but big strong and quick - both have got stuck in, i've seen both completley dominate games when on form - they are as good as any other young english defenders around that the press rave about and they've come through the ranks,

I reckon one of them will become our captain...Not sure which one yet, depends on how they develop, can they get and stay fit etc - but i reckon maybe not the next captain after stevie, there might be someone in between for a couple years, but then one of these guys will go on to be captain.

if we can get kelly consistently fit and then between them both, ensure they get decent game time (maybe not this year, but get back into europe next year, they will be needed) then a bit like sterling and ibe (though these two are prob ahead in the progress) it's really up to them on how far and how good they can be.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Not a great fan of either Kelly or Wisdom at FB in our current system. We need width from our FB's in this system and although Kelly and Wisdom are both willing runners and great athletes, unfortunately too many moves break down through them in the final 3rd or the wide player is forced to go through the centre.

In saying that, I have no concerns with either defensively and with if we have someone like Suarez ahead of them instead of the likes of Downing or Sterling who needed more assistance from the FB, then we should hopefully cope ok until Johnson comes back.

Hopefully a sweetener for the Will Hughes deal.

Liverpool are letting England under-21 defender Andre Wisdom go to Steve McClaren’s Derby County on loan.

McClaren made an approach for highly-rated Wisdom - who can play at right back or centre half - despite his side’s big win at Watford.

Wisdom has been available to go out for games for a few weeks and Brendan Rodgers is happy for him to go to the Rams for action.

McClaren wanted to bring in a new defender from the day he arrived and the chance to snap up Wisdom for the rest of the year is a major boost for his squad.

Derby are eighth in the Championship, having won 18 points from 12 games.

I think it is. We've plenty of good youngsters we can offer on loan as well in exchange for Hughes. Rossiter in one or two years time for example.

Be a good move for him.

As you've both said, it could also be a nice little sweetener for the Hughes deal too. Very sensible.

I thought you could only do a 3 month loan outside of the transfer window?

Isn't there a special rule for kids, or maybe that is the 3 months thing.

Good move with McLaren there, hopefully one or 2 others might gas well.
