It was more than that. He was not expecting it and his head is pushed back in horrific fashion, almost whiplash effect. Sickening really.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Not excusing that little thug but questions should be raised about putting on a highly charged local derby on a Friday night 8.00 kick off just for the benefit of Sky, I bet a lot of those fans would have been on the sauce for 3-4 hours before kick off which will not have helped the hostilities

If that match would have kicked off at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon it probably wouldn't have happened.
I felt a bit for Dave Jones as well, seems that he took a lot of abuse.
Leeds United hooligan faces jail sentence following attack on Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Chris Kirkland
Police on Saturday night confirmed that they had identified the Leeds United fan who attacked Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Chris Kirkland during Friday night’s Yorkshire derby and were closing in on an arrest.
The Football Association added that it had opened its own investigation but the actions of the police and the courts will take precedence. If convicted, the fan can expect a custodial sentence.
The docking of points is among a range of sanctions available to the FA — against both clubs — but the likelihood is there will be fines as well as the banning of individual fans once they are tracked down.
The suspect had been initially identified on social network sites and South Yorkshire police used this information. Senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Mark Monteiro, confirmed: “With the public’s assistance we have clearly identified the offender who ran on to the pitch during the match. We are dealing with the complaint made by the player and we are currently taking statements, collating evidence and making inquiries to locate and arrest the offender.”
Last night Kirkland spoke of his shock at the incident in which he was struck in the face and had to receive medical treatment. “I thought he was going to give me some abuse but then suddenly he came at me with both hands and I was stunned,” he said of the fan.
“I felt the full force and I was just shocked because you never know what could have been in his hands.” There were five arrests for various offences including public order before and after the game, while three people were ejected from Hillsborough and 12 were subject to dispersal orders.
After he slapped Kirkland and he returned to the stand, his 'buddies' patted him on the back and he must have just watched the rest of the game. Total scum.
I live in Leeds and the fans are some of the worst around.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Chris Kirkland was hit by a fan during an npower Championship game.
The incident was one of a number of ugly scenes at Hillsborough during the 1-1 draw with Leeds which was televised on Friday night.
Gloucestershire Police said the man was arrested in Cheltenham shortly before 1pm.
The man in question is believed to be repeat offender Aaron Cawley whose actions have been condemned by football authorities, police and the public.
He appeared in court just two days before the incident for breaking his ban for a third time.
Leeds United fan Cawley, from Cheltenham, was barred from all matches when he was 16 after being caught at the centre of a 200-strong riot at the club's Elland Road ground.
But on Friday night he managed to get inside the match at Hillsborough, where Sky television cameras captured the shocking moment he ran on to the pitch and assaulted the former England goalkeeper
His order also prohibits him from travelling on the national rail network to or from any town or city if Leeds is playing a home or away match in that area.
During his latest court appearance Cawley said: ‘My banning order was three months from being overturned
‘If I was going to risk it I would have done it years ago. The risk was not worth it. I am not a hooligan. I don't go to cause trouble.’
He was due to be sentenced tomorrow for the breach of his latest two-year order, which had been extended following previous breaches
Photographs of him on Facebook even show him drinking and celebrating just hours after the shameful assault which took the goalkeeper by complete surprise.
