Think Wilshere had already had his warning to be fair - just before Cleverly got his. Difference between Fergie and Wenger is that Fergie was smart enough to know Cleverly would have needed a 3rd chance.

The one Wilshere got warned for would have been a ridiculous second yellow, fair enough if he was told 1 more foul and your gone for accumulated fouls.

Cleverly's tackle was a yellow card in every sense. Common sense and the letter of the law. Cynical sliding tackle from the side making no contact with the ball as an opposition player closes in to shooting range in the middle of the goal.
