the strange one for me is the signings of Alberto/Aspas - when we have the likes of suso/Teixeria/Borini/ibe already on the books.

Alberto/Aspas have played like 8/9 games each this season. considering how thread bare our squad is, they haven't contributed anything really - surely we could have saved the money and used some of those guys for that amount of games/
Definately agree, I think we'll not see these squad signings again, we can use the youngsters more, specially if they are playing quality, experienced players.

Alberto is a slower. more technical player much like Maxi Rodríguez.

i can see arguments for the loan signings of Cissokho and Moses.

Cissokho - we prob felt robinson wasn't quite ready and would benefit more from a loan, we defo need left back cover and cissokho had a 'reputation', had played a decent level, played champions league, played for france....On loan/risk free saves money and we prob hoped he would just provide cover/competition for Enrique. Just unfortunate for us Enrique has been crocked.

Moses - similar, we clearly want an extra attacking player - we struggled to compete at the higher end of the market in terms of attracting quality players. Moses had shown glimpes of quality and similar to robinson we prob felt ibe and maybe even sterling that at their age it was asking a bit much to rely on them - so a late loan move for an 'experienced' premiership attacking winger on loan made sense - saves money until we can attract a top target.

but aspas and alberto have just never ever made any sense whatsoever -

as i've said, considering how small our squad is - to only have made 5(aspas) and 2(alberto) starts all season speaks volumes*

        * i think i've read those stats right from the offal

Texeira threatens Alberto's place rather than Allen's. For now. We'll need a big squad next season seeing as we will be in Europe one way or another.

Not sure Sama or Sinclair will make it. Can also see Borini, Assaidi, Alberto and Aspas leave in the summer (loan with a view to sell, or just sell).
          One tit for another.

Agree with Sama as he's always been ****, but how come your are writing of Sinclair at 17 who been scoring goals for fun at all levels?

He looks scarily similar to Sturridge to me and see no reason why he won't make it.

True Sinclair is young, maybe he'll be around for another year at the very least. We've had 'goalscorers' before that never made it (Nemeth, Morgan, Ngoo). Sinclair just doesn't have the X-factor to get himself a game with the senior team with the likes Suarez, Sterling, Sterling, Ibe ahead of him.

Aspas is surely meant as a stop-gap for the next season or so until some of our youth players are ready, or we can get sufficient funds to sign a top quality replacement. Now admitedly he's not shown anywhere near the required level, but I can understand the logic.

I think he’ll be around for a lot longer than a year and if he continues his progression he has every chance of making it. True, we have been fooled many times before and for once I’m not getting carried away, but he’s definitely one of our better prospects and has done very little wrong since joining the club.

If he remains injury free, he’ll always cause defenders problems with his pace and eye for goal and having not long turned 17 he has years and years of developing ahead of him.

                      What's Texeira's position? Defensive/holding midfield?
                      Are we winning?

More attack minded, similar to Coutinho I think, though his position could change as he develops

I like to hope it would be our horrible lack of squad depth in midfield.
