Yeah mate said it was a total freak injury as he was going into a tackle.
He knew how serious it was because he was on the touch line crying his eyes out.
    Go **** yourself

Sounds nasty - wasn't that a similar leg position to Ramsey and Eduardo for Arsenal?

Poor lad, just when it was starting to look good for him at Liverpool too
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

I liked the look of him alot. Had more to him than the previous Spanish lads , imo.

Gutted for him but I think all this talk about being his last chance here is a bit premature.

They do, whether they are the same player afterwards is the issue, I think often 'big' injuries had a mental effect on the player and whether they are the same player afterwards depends on whether they can get beyond the fear.

Whether it is his last chance here depends on whether the club offer him a new contract as he will probably only have a few months between getting fit and being out of contract. The thing is in those months he probably won't be at his best, so IMO if the club think he is a promising now and were considering him an option for next season, they should offer him a one year extension now to 'give him that year back' so he will be in the same position he's in now when he comes back (i.e chance of a full preseason and a year to prove himself).
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If they rate him they'll extend his contract for year to give him the chance

It's his second serious injury, with a couple of knocks in-between, and he's only 22. It's a pity but things look a bit grim.

I think Brendan will regard the loan as a success and will give him an extension. However, makes it unlikely he will make much of an impression next season with no pre-season and planning needing on the basis of what we will have at the beginning of the season.

Bought him at 16, might make his debut at 24 !
