Ince senior could actually act the c*** in our favour for a change. Really don't want Ince Jr cup tied.

His dad is doing a great job of managing his IMO. It's quite refreshing really. He is the one that advised him to turn down Liverpool and move to Blackpool even though he would have earned more playing for the reserves. Commoli said that the offer they made to Ince would have made him the highest paid youngster at Liverpool.

even though ince going to Blackpool wasnt a loan, it kind of shows the value of blooding our young prospects at other clubs and let them get the needed first team experience. sink or swim, and then we will take back the survivors.

If you think about it though there is a chance he could have flourished the same way at Liverpool because of how many chances Rodgers has given to youth here. At the same time that was back when Dalglish and Comolli were in charge when chances were few and far between so you can see why he left.

Liverpool close in on Tom Ince return

The Merseysiders are on the verge of agreeing a fee of around £5-6 million for the 20-year-old winger with Blackpool, who accept that he will move to Anfield this month

                            EXCLUSIVE

By Wayne Veysey | Chief Correspondent

Tom Ince is on the verge of completing his return to Liverpool, Goal.com understands.

The Merseysiders are close to reaching an agreement with Blackpool over the fee for the 20-year-old winger.
The Championship club have lowered their price tag from £8 million and a deal is expected to be completed at around the £5-6m mark.

Although Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said at his press briefing on Friday that there had been no progress in the club’s pursuit of Ince, all parties are believed to be confident that a deal will soon be completed.

The Anfield Academy graduate, who left Merseyside 18 months ago, has blossomed at Bloomfield Road, scoring 13 goals in the Championship this season.

Liverpool had an offer rejected for Ince last month and Blackpool boss Michael Appleton said earlier this week that the Premier League club have not returned with a second bid.

Nevertheless, Liverpool are confident that Ince will become their second signing of the window after the £12m capture of Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea.

Ince moved to Blackpool in the summer of 2011 for £250,000 in compensation on a two-year contract which expires at the end of the season.

Mr. Ferguson made a move for the England Under-21 international in October but Manchester United dropped their interest to leave the path clear for Liverpool.

If it's close I doubt he'll play today.

Given that we had similar reports for Charlie Adam a couple of years back and knowing how long that deal took because of the way Blackpool were, I wouldn't believe that a deal is close to being done yet.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Maybe the Inces have put their collective feet down, and think that LFC acted pretty fairly to both Ince and Blackpool when he initially joined, and shouldn't be held to ransom now ?
