Thomas Ince is very good. He needed that move to Blackpool to kick start his career, and Ian Holloway once again came up with the Midas touch. We need to send out 2-3 youngsters to Blackpool every year, for free. Guys like Coady, Flanagan, Morgan etc.

So that Michael Appleton can work his magic on them

I've often thought a tie in with a lower league club would be beneficial (or even a couple of them)

Some kids need to be thrown in the deep end to aid their devlopment and its less of a risk doing it with a lower league club

I think the major point about Ince is that he made unrealistic demands of LFC and had to leave. There is no way he got what he asked for from LFC at Blackpool

That said the lad has clearly developed as a player, however Blackpool are a pain in the arse to deal with and I suspect that Ince's demands will be again above what our hierarchy would value him at (in terms of wages)

Didn't we used to have an unofficial tie up with Crewe?

Or did I make that up in a Football manager style

Ian Holloway's spirit is still there. It lingers on in every club he's managed, like Shankly before him.

We did have an unofficial tie up with Crewe but that was to take players from them rather than send them there

Personally I would go for Zaha ahead of Ince. Looks far more accomplished and a higher level IMO.
