Well then if Rodgers has taken us backwards at the end of the season, I'll be expecting him to be gone too. 8th last season with two cup finals was deemed not good enough. He's come in and spent around £30m net, arguably managing to weaken the squad and failing to address any of the most pressing concerns.

The argument that we have to give him time is fair enough but only if there's signs of improvement. You don't take two steps backwards and call the one forward one improvement either.

When's the last time we finished in the bottom half of the table? It's before my time I'm sure of that much. The squad he has at his disposal is much better then that. All this talk of he doesn't have the players to play his brand of football is bollocks too. A good manager would be getting the most out of what he's got and slowly transforming the team in his image throughout time. I've never heard of a top side completely writing off seasons whilst a manager gets the players he needs to finish 10.

Barring a total collapse in results and performance Rodgers is going nowhere.
I'd call that carrying on like we've been.

        Would you ? Interesting.
As I said before prepare to be intensely disappointed when next season rolls around and Rodgers is still our manager. BTW how did Rafa do today in the CWC ??

We should stick in a bid for the apparently unhappy Oscar.

Considered one of the highlights of the season at Chelsea, midfielder Oscar was not pleased with the booking in the final of the Club World Cup, played on Sunday before the Corinthians. According to Mauro Naves, a reporter for TV Globo, the Brazilian made no secret of his dissatisfaction with coach Rafa Benitez.

          - This guy (Benítez) is crazy. You are seeing the pressure that we're taking, right? - Oscar said, according to the journalist.

As if that hasn't been lost in translation, taken out of context or completely made up.
