mistake ditching reina ...... bringing in potential for experience...reina still has plenty to offer

Probably not very much really if he's a good keeper. I've not seen enough of him to judge.

He's decent... but a new keeper always takes time to settle in a new team as they all have their own way of doing things - could be different footed, could prefer the ball played back to a certain part of the box, some keepers punch while others catch, etc... and for me I'd rather keeper changes were made over the summer so basic bedding in can be done in friendlies rather than league games.

Rodgers clearly said we weren't after a keeper when spoken too. And this rumour was in the air before then.

If Butland is on the way in, Reina is on the way out. He's not coming as a number 2 after Jones signed a new deal. Bizarre.

That said, if Reina did go, I wouldn't be as bothered as I was 2 years a go. But I would be concerned about the replacement until I've seen how he settles.

I'd be happy if we signed Butland, the lad could learn a lot from Pepe and if he progresses fast enough, replace him in the near future.

However I can see Reina leaving, but i'm pretty convinced that Butland won't be his replacement.

That said Man City took a gamble with Joe Hart by dropping "evergreen" Given and its paid off.
