Replacing an experienced (allbeit underperforming) keeper with a relatively inexperienced 19 year old when the team isn't doing well anyway - what could possibly go wrong.

Probably not very much really if he's a good keeper. I've not seen enough of him to judge.

Couldn't be any worse than the current Reina, though I suspect we're probably going for Butland early given their financial situation. Maybe he'll get loaned out.

He's decent... but a new keeper always takes time to settle in a new team as they all have their own way of doing things - could be different footed, could prefer the ball played back to a certain part of the box, some keepers punch while others catch, etc... and for me I'd rather keeper changes were made over the summer so basic bedding in can be done in friendlies rather than league games.
Rodgers clearly said we weren't after a keeper when spoken too. And this rumour was in the air before then.
If Butland is on the way in, Reina is on the way out. He's not coming as a number 2 after Jones signed a new deal. Bizarre.
That said, if Reina did go, I wouldn't be as bothered as I was 2 years a go. But I would be concerned about the replacement until I've seen how he settles.
