National team defender travel to Anfield on the medical check on Tuesday.
Oslo / Bergen (TV 2 Sport): Transition saga around Vegard Forres can go to the end.
After the TV 2 Sport has learned Molde has accepted a bid from Premier League club Liverpool. 24-year old traveling to England on Tuesday to undergo a medical.
Two English clubs to have shown concrete interest in Forres in recent days, but now it seems that the national team defender ends at Anfield.
- Very exciting
Molde player has been coveted this winter and Trønder reported due to the national team's trip to Africa in order to clarify the football future. Forres wants to Premier League which include Liverpool's crosstown Everton and Fulham have been named as clubs.
Newcastle, Tottenham, QPR, Fulham, Southampton and Reading are others who have noted the previous name for a strong season for Molde in the Premier League and Europa League and the Norwegian national team.
2 TV commentator Øyvind Alsaker think it's great that Norwegians have a chance at a club like Liverpool.
- It is very exciting with a Norwegian in a large and traditional club, he tells website of TV2
Third Choice?
Pål Christian Møller, head of Liverpool's Scandinavian supporter, think the previous will be third choice on stopping place in Liverpool behind Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger Danish, but ahead of veteran Jamie Carragher.
- He's clearly at the end of his career. Stops pair we have now is so strong that Liverpool probably buy some to go straight into that position. That last beating Skrtel or Agger short term can not expect, but it got to be a goal in the long term, says Møller to the website of TV2
It is Øyvind Alsaker agreed on this
- The big question is how it will be with Daniel Agger and Vegard previous, I think it is quite out of the question with two so venstrebeinte stoppers. If he is thought of as backup for Agger could be much warmed the bench, he has been injury free for a while, says Alsaker.
Alsaker think it will be tough for the previous referring stops duo to the bench, without the need to visit the Norwegian redundant.
- José Enrique is out with an injury and Agger can play back and have done it much before, say Alsaker, who also points out that it is a position that is is little competition for places behind Agger and Skrtel.
- Liverpool have very little competition on stopping place. Carragher is out of date, and Coates, they have given up. Meanwhile, Agger been very injury prone in the past, so we'll see. I do not look to me that he goes right in and take Aggers space, it is illogical, he said.
- Can be a success
But that transition may end up being good for Liverpool and before, that he believes.
- He can be a success in the Premier League, he has shown with their performance over the past year, says Alsaker.
Supporter Director Møller clarifies that interest in Liverpool is already huge in Norway, and he expects no Solskjaer effect If the last ends at Anfield but still believe a transition can be positive in terms of the attention the club will be in Norwegian media.
- It is very funny with Norwegians in Liverpool, and it has been a tradition in the past, particularly in the 90s and later with John Arne Riise. We see no particular difference in interest from fans if there is a Norwegian on the team or not, but the club will surely become even more media coverage, says Møller.
Club Brugge had a bid accepted , but the previous even would not Belgium. After the TV 2 Sport is aware, Molde had a goal to get over 30 million stopper.
- Molde and Bruges agreed, but I said no. As far as I know it is the only club to have bid. I have put aside calls from three or four other clubs, but will not say who this is. I relate only to that which is concrete and is on the board, said previous to Romsdals Budstikke Monday morning.
