. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
Silly me. He must have been travelling through Heathrow to catch a connecting flight to Malaga. He's in the commentary position in La Rosaleda right now.

Gerry Armstrong was on the same flight as me yesterday. He was sat across the aisle, one row behind. His hair looks even more ridiculous in real life than on telly - thinning, slicked back and curly, dyed a reddish brown that immediately calls to mind not the top of a human head but the terracotta tiles of rooftops in Tuscany. He's shorter than me so it reminded me of looking down on the city from the campanile in Florence.
He spent the whole flight reading a local paper and playing patience on his phone. Before we took off he phoned someone called Kevin and told him he was recommending him for a job.
You heard it here first. Unless you're Kevin.
Great story, stuff of legends.....reckon this will be made into a Hollywood Blockbuster
Kevin Kilbane is everywhere these days. He was on Sky the other day. Now he's on that terrible Quebd of Sport.
