He's obviously done well, but if you look at *ALL* Wenger's signings, he's got more wrong than right. Clearly when he's got it right, he's got it VERY right, but when he gets it wrong - which he often does - it's calamitous.

I set myself up with the French comment which can been thrown back with Anelka and Henry, but if you want to look at all his buys and mention Van Perise, you can balance it out with Chamakh, Wreh, Aliadiere, Jeffers, Boa Morte, Chu-Yong et al.

And that's before we even look at other positions! Arsenal need quality and a short term fix - Villa would provide that for them, instead they'll let him go to the nearest rivals! If they're not selling their best players to the teams challenging around them, they're counting pennies! They agreed a £3m deal with Malmo in 2001 for Zlatan Ibrahimovic - the deal fell through because Wenger wanted him to attend a trial and he turned to Francis 'fox in the box' Jeffers.

I am actually excited for this transfer window despite it being during the off season. Mourinho is moving from Madrid, Ancelotti moving from PSG, Fergie gone, Moyes gone, Rafa gone, Pellegrini moving on.

then you start with all the players who seem likely to move on: Rooney, possibly Ronaldo, maybe Bale and more...

Next year could be a massive change in player and back room rosters at the big clubs which always creates a massive merry go round.

Napoli holds talks with Man City over Cavani & Dzeko.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed his club have opened talks with Manchester City over the futures of Edin Dzeko and Edinson Cavani.

Dzeko has been linked with a move from Eastlands this summer, while City are believed to hold an interest in signing Uruguay striker Cavani.

De Laurentiis, a film producer, had been in England to promote his biopic about Apple founder Steve Jobs, but he used the visit - along with sporting director Riccardo Bigon and club administrator Andrea Chiavelli - to enter talks with City about the two forwards.

"I told Bigon: 'Go to see City to negotiate for Dzeko and to see what they are willing to do to sign Cavani'," he said in Gazzetta dello Sport. "Everyone is talking, but when you're dealing with economic issues everything takes a while."

There had been speculation that De Laurentiis was in the capital to speak to Rafael Benitez as he seeks a replacement for coach Walter Mazzarri, who has announced his resignation.

Benitez is available after guiding Chelsea to third place as well as Europa League success, and has suggested he would be interested in the post, but it would appear there were no talks with the Spaniard.

"I did not go to London to speak to Benitez," he told the Italian media. "Yesterday, I was in London with Bigon and Chiavelli for a simple reason: to prepare for the release of the film about Steve Jobs.

Well, there seems to be suggestion that Tevez goes to make way for Falcao and Dzeko goes to make way for Cavani... can't see both happening with the formation that City play... unless Aguero left too.

To complete it, there are rumours Aguero wants to go back to Madrid. Not sure if its Atletico or Real though as I know he wanted to play for Real Madrid

Arsenal being linked with a £19m bid for Higuain and also buying Jovetic. Huge summer this summer. We could be left behind

                                Yup.

He's been very open about wanting to sign for Real - he wanted to go there before he signed for City but there was no offer on the table.

I hope Arsenal don't have a big remodel although if that's true - Jovetic and Higuain - they would still have the weak midfield and dodgy defence so it wouldn't really change anything.
