He'll be a hit here I think, I'd have been really happy with either him or Wanyama.

I think we missed the boat with Wanyama, exactly the player we needed in central midfield and would only get better

Obviously not the way Rodgers is looking on taking us, I just don't see Allen and Henderson as good enough for the level we want to be at.

I know Henderson has shown glimpses but they've been in playing further forward, either from the left us ahead of the other 2 midfielders. I would consider him a useful squad player at the moment and he might kick on and make his mark but at the moment I don't really see where that would be.

                  Blimey.

                  Loan or permanent?

I also see that Jason Koumas (remember him? ) moved somewhere the other day. Completely forgot about him. He's much younger than you'd think too - only 33 or 34 I think.

But Ancelotti wants the Spanish club to relaunch talks with Spurs over signing the Wales international so the forward avoids the struggles Luke Modric endured last season when he moved late in the transfer window.

                      LATEST TRANSFER GOSSIP

Stoke City have pulled out of a move for Hannover striker Mame Diouf after becoming frustrated with the negotiation process, reports the Daily Express.

It is claimed the German club have been quoting different asking prices to the local press, ranging from £7 million to £15 million and boss Mark Hughes has opted to look elsewhere.

Midfielder Scott Parker is likely to sign for Queens Park Rangers in the next 48 hours after manager Harry Redknapp agreed a £3.5m fee with Tottenham, reports the Daily Telegraph.

It is reported the England international, 32, is expected for a medical later today before completing a move to Rangers, bringing an end to his two-year spell with Spurs.

                              £3.5m? F*ck me, that's a joke.
