@OptaJoe: 25% - Of the 47 bosses to manage over 100 PL games for a single club, only two have a lower win ratio than Martinez (25%) at Wigan. Parting.
The times they are a changin'.

He kept wigan in the prem for years with no money and **** player. While other clubs were spending big to stay up he was always selling his better players.

And he won Wigan the FA cup which is amazing. Especially considering how strong the Man City team was in the Final. Incredible achievement.

      He is a good manager

Not surprised, he's highly rated and there are a few jobs available at the moment. Looks like Everton though.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Hes had arguably their strongest squad with the likes of McArthur, McArthy, Gomez etc yet they are in a scrap to stay up every single year. Worse record there than Bruce and possibly Jewell yet everyone raves about him. I don't see it really. He'll be crap at Everton and I look forward to watching them get mullered under his charge.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Bruce and Jewel had much better squads IMO.

Martinez has done well at Wigan. Good philosophy and a good character, potential to be a very good manager and it's interesting to see how he gets on.

Lot of people have also alluded to Martinez prepping the groundwork for Swansea's rise to eventual PL status. Something that even our own Brendan benefitted from in his time there.
Good manager who needs to move on to see if he can make it as a top flight boss with better resources.
Plus he has an iPad for talking football and ****.

Nah. Jewell's squad was muck and Bruce had Heskey up front.

Must be Everton, they must have been waiting for something. All the interviews for the likes of Neville and Stubbs must have been to see who was there best back up plan if he decided to stay at Wigan.

Heskey was better than their current forwards and they had Valencia too. Their squad right now is the poorest they have had IMO.
