      Lovren, Matip, Sakho and ???

I think he's a great third choice. Sad to see him go.

Surely we're going to buy someone now, if Sakho get's a long(ish) ban and Matip is gone for ACN in January, we'll need another established centre back.

Klopp said the other day he has a long future with Liverpool and now this comes out. Weird.

Might be to do with the pills that sakho has taken...

Kolo Toure: Defender weighing up Liverpool future

Former Ivory Coast international defender Kolo Toure has said he will stay at Liverpool only if he is able to make a contribution to the team.

The 35-year-old will be out of contract at the end of this season but manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted the player figures in his future plans.

"It's great to hear that from a great manager," Toure told BBC Sport.

"As long as I can bring something [to the team] I'm happy to stay but if I can't, there is no point."

Toure has largely been among the substitutes this season but started Saturday's 2-2 draw with Newcastle, having replaced Mamadou Sakho following the Frenchman's omission over a failed drugs test.

Sakho has not been suspended following the notification that Uefa is investigating an alleged anti-doping violation but Toure looks set to retain his place in the Liverpool starting line-up for Thursday's Europa League tie at Villarreal.

Toure himself failed a drugs test while at former club Manchester City in 2011, testing positive for endroflumethiazide, a weight-loss drug contained within 'water tablets', and was banned for six months.

"I don't want to remember that because it has been tough for me. I don't even want to talk about that because it is very hard," Toure said.

"Right now I haven't spoken with Mama, to be honest. I've been in there and it has been really difficult, definitely.

"This is private but he knows what I think about him."
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Immense last night. I was worried about him because of Bakambu, but his positioning and anticipation of opposition movements were exceptional.

                      He was excellent.

I wonder why Klopp plays Lovren right side when he has so much experience playing on the left. Moreno factor?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                        Give the man a contract.

He looks better on the right for us than on the left.

Probably one of his best games for us considering the importance. Shame he ended up on the losing side, easily MOTM.

                              Agreed.
Also looked massively disappointed for the goal and was obviously blaming himself... when he should have been kicking Moreno's arse all the way back to Liverpool for disappearing on him.

Quality attitude and effort. Good lad to have in the dressing room for the youngsters. I'd keep him another season and another 12 month contract all day long...

                                Kolo Toure

                                13 PL games 1 loss
Europe 6 games and 1 loss
League Cup 4 games and 1 loss in normal time and extra time

So that's 23 games of which only 5 were as a sub and three losses.
