Have seen Mkhitaryan in few games and he has looked outstanding.. obviously huge step up playing regularly in the premier league but he does look technically fantastic and oozes quality. IMO it would be a fantastic signing although i'm not sure were he would fit in the first team? Nevertheless he does look quite a player.

Picks the ball up quite a bit in the central area. I don't know Mostar but in a 4-3-3 I can see him being played just ahead of Gerrard and Lucas which would mean moving Coutinho to the left or right of the front 3. For me Coutinho should be the man in the CAM role.

Phil has been brilliant in the playmaker role, and doesn't really have the pace to play wide. Henrik playing in a depper role is the only other option.

Therein lies the problem for me, I don't think we need another expensive CAM to play that role when we have a ready made one in Coutinho. He's been a revelation in that role. I'm going to go against the grain and suggest £22m could quite easily get us a very good wide player imo. I'm not saying this lads poor I just don't think that position is a priority. An upgrade on Downing is imo.

I think it would be a great signing. I would say that it is a big risk that Coutinho could leave after the coming season if we don't qualify for the CL and if that happens then we don't need to panic because we have HM.

I believe Rodgers is planning to play all three players behind the striker in a free position in a 4-2-3-1.

They will change positions a lot during the games.

Don't think Rodgers sees Coutihno at the apex of a midfield three long term. It does gives us more options/permutations though.
