I can see us being left short again if we deal the way the Echo are reporting it
Isn't it more reliant on us getting some wedge for Big Andy than Suarez going?

Rafa's was more solid. Same system, different outcome - gas really.

The formation isn't important, it's just an easy way to visualize the game on the TV-screen, it's the philosophy of play that's the real crunch of it, and there we are (starting to) play more attractive and better possession footy than we have done in ~15-20 years.

You can set up a 4231, a 433 or a 541 to play in exactly the same way, or you can on paper have a 4231 played in a direct counter fashion, a short passing high pressing fashion or something in between.

The players are the difference... Coutinho/Suarez (or replacement)/ Mkhi would be very fluid and interchanging opposed to players we've had in the past... of course, I did reference Chelsea's midfield of Mata/Hazard/ Oscar as the example which is, you know, Rafa's midfield, actually.

This is so true, so often the language in fashion doesn't reflect what happens on the pitch. Seeing a player beat a couple of people and score looks and feels pretty much the same as it did 20 years ago lol.

So who would be better - this fella or Eriksen?

And his name always brings Catch 22 to mind for me. Captain John Yossarian.

We will sign another mid (I actually think we'll sign 2) no matter if Luis stays or goes.

We need more quality in that area and I'd be very surprised if we would keep the status quo.

Rodgers wants to sign Mkhitaryan so much hes asked the Liverpool board to pay the full €30m buy-out clause if needed. (Gazzetta dello Sport)
