Kinda. But then I'm struggling to watch any football that doesn't involve us ... especially Russian football, which I have never had any interest in anyway. I'm putting my trust in the LFC Recruitment Team working on the project.

And let's face it, even he fails and is a major flop, he still wouldn't be our worst transfer ****-up.

The club remain interested in Shakhtar Donetsk's attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan but the deal is a complicated one, although not as byzantine as some are suggesting.

Press Association Sport understands Liverpool are unaware of any reported third-party ownership issues.

They were led to believe if they met a clause in Mkhitaryan's contract, understood to be in the region of £20million and a price the Reds are willing to pay, the deal could progress.

However, the Ukrainian club continue to change the terms and with money not an issue - they are backed by billionaire Rinat Akhmetov, listed the 47th richest man in the world in March - they have no incentive to sell.

Rodgers is considering his options in terms of another centre-back after deciding Schalke's £19million valuation of Kyriakos Papadopoulos, who missed most of last season with a knee injury, is over-the-odds.

However, it seems even though he has money at his disposal the manager will not spend just for the sake of it if he cannot secure his priority targets.

Not at all. Not even one single bit.

30m Euros they want according to their owner. Idiot. City got Fernandinho for below his release clause. Think Henrikh has made it difficult by effectively going on strike.

Pablo, is the Donetsk owner's girlfriend on twitter...can you have a word?

Not a bad idea, but I was thinking of having a flirt with Mino Raiola instead this time to get the deal done

Going to be a battle of wills.

Shaktar don't need to sell and will probably look at the situation with Tevez going awol and how city handled it as a good course of action to follow.

                    Question is who breaks first?

I think that's a great idea. Obviously, you're taking one for the team

Only 40 pages, I honestly thought there were more we need at least 80 before he signs for another club, and a song or two.

Yes, playing good in the CL is great but most clubs only play 6-10 games in that comp a yr. so it does not prove consistency. Becoming a regular at shaktar is no easy feat though. Not sure how much of the rest of the Ukrainian league is competitive bar dynamo Kiev. Week in week out EPL will be a step up.

I have never properly seen him play though so who am I to doubt him. If BR and the committee think he's worth 25mil then bring him in!!!

From what I've read he seems to be versatile, hard working,goal-scoring, fast and agile. Something I think we lack in the middle.
