Newcastle United have rejected an approach from Bayern Munich for 33-year-old defender Kieran Trippier. (Sky Sports)

Looks like that alright. I wonder if Newcastle have had the heads up that Man City are going to be relegated..... Because this is a strange change of course for them.

I was full sure that a few from the likes of Mane Firmino and Fabinho could end up at newcastle - or more likely Neves, Jota, Veiga - all join Newcastle on loan for 2 quid a week with their home clubs picking up the rest of the wage.

Meant to have one of the Saudi clubs interested in him. Be an easy way to sell him for 10 or 15m over his market price and get a lump sum in to spend on another player.

If he went for 25m or 30m it would be nuts, let alone higher.
