I think he's talented just not sure where he'd fit in for us or that the PL is suited to him. You get the feeling you'd need to build around him to get the most out of him and he doesn't seem to be the level you'd look to develop a team around.
I am guessing we will be looking to sell or more likely loan him out, with a view to selling him again. Reading the articles on his time at Malaga it seems he isn't good enough for them. Given that he is playing in a league that he knows and is struggling, it makes you wonder what our scouts saw in him that prompted us to pay almost £7m for him, or what we do to these players when they get to the club that sees them go from promising youngsters shooting down the leagues
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I honestly think the key to buying youth is more about how they are trained and developed post acquisition than it is how talented they were to begin with. I think we're terrible at developing players. I'm pretty sure given half a chance I could have ruined CR7's career at a young age.
However in the case of Alberto it looks like he wasn't good enough to begin with, as our input (since he has been on loan) has been nullified.

I think that there are certainly issues with how we develop the young players, we have signed alot of players who should be on the fringes of the side when they arrive but never establish themselves in the side (Borini, Coates, Ilori, Alberto... etc)
I'm not sure what the bigger problem is the scouting or the developing, we know our scouting isn't great from the first team players we sign.
