I don't think he ever stood out - he was never going to stand out in a minuscule clutch of six or seven minute cameos and anyone who expected him to was living in fantasy land. He is painfully slow but I thought he showed glimpses. There was one game - can't remember which - when he came on with about 8 minutes left, made four successful passes out of four including one really really lovely through ball. He can spot and pick a pass, and in that reserve game when he scored a hat-trick showed he can finish too. I think he's got something but it's difficult to envisage him ever getting him regular game time. Happy with a loan - let's see how he does.

Yeah we were never going to play enough games last season either for squad players like that to get their chance. If he'd signed this season he might have got more chances to play, but unfortunately I think we've already made our mind up on him.

It's almost impossible to judge as he only played a handful of games most of them as sub, that's no time really to adapt to the pace of the game or the league.
