its all true, Shaggy. maybe the best we can hope for will be similar to suso, show some flashes in spain and then get a decent deal out there.

Spurs away. He gave the assist for Suarez's chip.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI don't think he ever stood out - he was never going to stand out in a minuscule clutch of six or seven minute cameos and anyone who expected him to was living in fantasy land. He is painfully slow but I thought he showed glimpses. There was one game - can't remember which - when he came on with about 8 minutes left, made four successful passes out of four
including one really really lovely through ball. He can spot and pick a pass, and in that reserve game when he scored a hat-trick showed he can finish too. I think he's got something but it's difficult to envisage him ever getting him regular game time. Happy with a loan - let's see how he does.

He had very few opportunities to showcase his skills so it is very difficult imo to judge him properly.Originally posted by danperkins View PostIn the few brief appearances he looked nowhere near what we need. Slower pace might suit the lad. Best of luck elsewhere.
Season long loan would do him a lot of good but I'd personally prefer PL or Championship type of a club if we have intentions of bringing him back.
That said, If we already know he has no future with us sending him to a La Liga team makes most sense.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

La Liga would probably suit his style of play a lot more than the premier league, too fast & physical for him IMO. Loan move would be good option.

from the glimpses i saw, he at least looked like a footballer, he could control, pass, - he defo had some ability and at 21, still plenty of time - why we ever signed him though i'll never know - when we had shelvey/suso on the books before we paid what about £7m for him? to play about 5 games in total.
ah well - ideally i'd sell - but if a loan is all we can get then so be iti own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Yeah we were never going to play enough games last season either for squad players like that to get their chance. If he'd signed this season he might have got more chances to play, but unfortunately I think we've already made our mind up on him.Originally posted by PTP View Postfrom the glimpses i saw, he at least looked like a footballer, he could control, pass, - he defo had some ability and at 21, still plenty of time - why we ever signed him though i'll never know - when we had shelvey/suso on the books before we paid what about £7m for him? to play about 5 games in total.

It's almost impossible to judge as he only played a handful of games most of them as sub, that's no time really to adapt to the pace of the game or the league. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
