. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
On what grounds to you say that? This article suggests otherwise. I'd happily take a striker who played 35 games last season, scored 24 goals at a chance conversion ratio of 24%, had a shot accuracy of 46% and an on target shots to goals ratio of 52%. Plus he made 4 assists. I can't imagine how anyone could call that wasteful, especially compared to some of our recent stats.
I'm basing my opinion on having watched a large chunk of Valencia's games, and seeing Soldado stray offside repeatedly, not getting involved in the build-up play, and then the chances arrives, he puts shots wide. Those stats do not take into account these kind of shots.
In my opinion, we can be a lot more resourceful with the £20m+ it'd take to bring a 28 year old Soldado here. There must be a reason why no one else has touched him when Valencia have been selling.
I mentioned Luis Muriel a few months ago as a potential Suarez replacement. Younger, more technically involved and ideal for our style of play. Or maybe Son Heung-Min, who has all the potential in the world to be an outstanding forward player. (****, he's just moved to Bayer, oh well).

@MoleyBTK: And it looks like #Soldado is off to Spurs, I always said that Yilmaz was the bigger chance
