It would have been an odd signing for us anyway. He's 28 and can only play up front. It we don't sell Suarez he would have either been on the bench or we would have had to play Suarez out wide.
Think he'll be good for Spurs, but he's no world beater. They're paying over the odds for someone with little to no sell on value.Comment

Anybody would think this was a Spurs forum the love-in they've been getting over this and the Bale threads.
Soldado's a decent striker, but there's no way he's worth the figures being mentioned. IMO he'll do okay, but he wont be troubling the player of the season nominations. 10-15 goals at best I think.
Personally, I dont think we were ever seriously interested in him. We may have scouted him as a potential Suarez replacement, but nothing more. That slim link is then enough for the press to make a long-running transfer saga.Comment

I'm not about to kiss Spurs' arse, but I honestly wouldn't mind LLoris, Walker, Vertonghen, Sandro, Paulinho, Dembele, Bale or Soldado.

in fact i think i said it's very solid/looks decent
however, i don't really moan too much about our current players, maybe criticise Borini and don't think much of allen

I'd take Friedel as a no.2 over jones
I'd defo take vertonghan
Kyle Walker doesn't look too bad, though we are ok at RB though i'd prob take ekotto or rose as left back cover
i'd probably be interested in Sandro and Paulinho
i'd be all over dembele, bale lennon, even defo and adebayor would improve our overall squadi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i doComment

I don't really see why if a few people happen to rate another club's players/squad that it gives other people the impression they're on that club's forum
