Basically we've been knocked back for our first and second choices and are now on our third choice wide forward.Originally posted by SimonNo7 View PostWhy have we? We've been in for two players and they have either chosen to move to someone else or decided to go for a new deal with the club they play for. I don't see us looking like cunts, I just see choices that unfortunately didn't go our way...

Not convinced about that one, as far as I can tell we have only shown firm interest in Mikhi and Costa. Everything else has been pure speculation and twitter bs spreading on forums.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostPossibly fourth. Henrikh had a deal agreed with BVB well before we came in. We were probably led on so that the 3rd party could get some more money out of Dortmund. Costa's agent just used us to get a better deal. We enquired about Bernard but he wasn't interested anyway.
Bit harsh to say we just get knocked back left, right and centre.

Has anyone in here who is saying Willian is not a good use of money actually seen him play? Or is everyone basing it on youtube videos?!
I have seen him a handful of times and thoguht he was great but that is nothing to base an opinion on. Considering that most journos and some players seem to think he would be a great buy for Liverpool I would suggest that we should get excited if we buy him.
A potentially genuinely class player rather than a moderate squad filler for once.

Definitely! He's someone who would compliment Suarez, sturridge and coutinho. No defence in the world would want to leave any them one on one. All four would have flair, assists and goals in them. With borini, aspas and Alberto supporting (not to mention ibe and sterling who can be eased in). It would be a hugely exciting signing and a massive statement of intent from the owners.Originally posted by poorscousertommy View PostHas anyone in here who is saying Willian is not a good use of money actually seen him play? Well he might compliment them if he's a polite lad, but let's hope he complements them on the field - if he signsOriginally posted by kris90210 View PostDefinitely! The news article makes it sound like we are going to sit back and wait for Willian to get in touch. I hope we aren't going to sit back and just wait for the player to fall into our lap. If you don't ask you don't get. No time for ****ing around there are only two weeks left, if Willian isn't interested move onto the next target.
