Will be a big disappointment if we lose out, to me this deal was about showing we're still considered a bigger draw than Spurs, especially with good info about him "supporting" us.

Lets hope this is BS and we sign him because him being available late in the market meant he may have been higher than 3rd choice but now whoever we go for is looking like 4th, at least.
