Would not be surprised at all to see the Chavs win the Champs league and Premiership.

When things fall into place for Jose, they do so on a grand scale.

Jose is both a good manager and a lucky one, us and City have good managers, i'm not yet certain either are lucky, time will tell, but right now, one manager stands head and shoulders above the pair of them as far as a history of winning big trophies go's,. so i'm extremely weary, and would have loved to have seen them go out tonight, just to help me believe some of his jammyness had gone, left behind at Madrid!

I understand the Chavs playing more games could be good for us, especially such important ones, but i also think that at this stage of the season, the big deciding games tend to be won by the side with the rub of the green on the day, whether they were the better team or not.

Just hope fortune favours us this time.

There is a big possbility that Chelsea will play their 2nd leg on a Tuesday which is two days after playing us. I imagine our game will be moved, no? handshake:

              No

The FA don't help English teams in Europe.

Then Chelsea will play their 2nd leg on a Wednesday. There is no way they will play a champions league semi final two days after playing a league game. Not a chance imo.

Chelsea losing to Villa, beating Arsenal 6-0, then losing to Palace sums them up. Good result for them but they usually don't take it into their next game.

Liverpool.no says if Chelsea play tuesday, their game against us will be played saturday, switching With either the early or the late kick-off

Guess we'll know this Friday, isn't that when the draw is?

Why was the result last night seen as a miracle comeback, or an amazing turnaround by the press?

It wasn't as though they need 3-4 goals to get through. It was the same with Napoli. 2-0 at home isn't as big an ask as the press are making it to be.

I don't think it could be the early kick off slot because that will conflict with the BT game so if it does move I think it will be to 5.30.

Because everything is a miracle when you're dealing with the "special one" and his fawning friends in the media mate

Someone on another forum posted that Chelsea haven't lost a league game before, in between or after a CL semi-final match.

                            They have. In 2004.

We haven't won the title in 24 years, we'll have bigger hurdles than some meaningless stat

Chelsea looked **** last night I thought. Watching them attack in comparison to us was like chalk and cheese. No wonder they struggle for goals sometimes I know they have a lot of seasoned pros playing for them which helps them through, but it'll be a crying shame if we don't smash them at Anfield.

They were especially poor given how awful PSG were as well, who just insisted on playing long passes and giving the ball straight back to Chelsea.

it was a poor poor game of football, even more so considering the amounts of money spent by both clubs
