What a load of hypocritical ****e..... They're quite happy to have scantily clad women plastered all over official calendars etc (I won't post any examples) yet moan about a harmless T-shirt?!
Adidas stops sale of 'sexual' Brazil World Cup T-shirts

Adidas is one of the main sponsors of the World Cup and also its ball providers
Sports giant Adidas is suspending the sale of World Cup T-shirts after Brazil's authorities complained they sexualised the country's image.
One read "Looking to score?" next to a scantily-dressed woman; another printed a heart shaped like a bikini-clad bottom with the phrase "I love Brazil".
Brazil's tourism board, Embratur, says it is vehemently against any products that link Brazil's image to sex appeal.
Adidas is one of the World Cup's main sponsors and its ball provider.
Following the controversy, the company said it was withdrawing the T-shirts - a limited edition meant for sale in the United States.
"Adidas always pays close attention to the opinion of its consumers and partners," its statement read.
"Therefore, it is announcing that these products will not be sold anymore."
Earlier on Tuesday, the country's tourism ministry had already criticised the products saying "any links between national icons and images with sex appeal" were against the country's official marketing policies.
"Such an attitude indirectly contributes to committing crimes such as sexual child and adolescent exploitation," it said.
Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff also reacted, tweeting that Brazil was happy to greet tourists for the World Cup.
But her country was also ready to fight sexual tourism, Mrs Rousseff wrote.
In a statement, Brazil's Embratur said that "Brazil does not tolerate this type of crime on its territory."
Brazil says it has been trying to distance itself from the sexual stereotypes that marked the country for decades. What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Anyone came across any decent offers for WC tops this year? All tops seem to be between £50-£60 which is ridiculous.
Need a couple for myself and a kids kit, but not gonna pay close to £200 for them.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Backlash against what/who though?
8 have died constructing the stadiums in what, 2 years? Is that out of the statistical norm for deaths at work in Brazil? How many people in total have been employed across all the sites? People die on construction sites in this country too. Obviously we shouldn't accept it as a hazard of going to work but we should also not be quick to be so critical when it happens abroad.Football without Origi is nothing

The backlash should be against the people responsible for building these things. The Brazilian authorities, the construction companies, and FIFA.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostBacklash against what/who though?

How many people have died constructing stadia, or any other major building in this country? Say in the last 5 years. We have skyscrapers going up all over London, we have some of the newest stadia in the world. We had the Olympics here last year.
If that many people died constructing these buildings here, there would have been an outcry, quite rightly.
These seem to be reasonably preventable accidents. People shouldn't be falling off from great heights. They should be properly secured. Is that too much to ask for?
Why should Brazil be any different to us? And why should it be accepted?Oh I don't know.

What cunting ****ing difference does it make what the ****ing **** they are building?
NOBODY should be dying at work.
Not building an office block, a football stadium, in a Foxconn factory that produces our consumer electronics we are all using every day, or burning to ****ing death in a garment factory in India, or China, Bangledesh, the Phillipines or any other impoverished country that makes the clothes in all our our high street stores and that all of us are no doubt currently wearing.Football without Origi is nothing

Totally agree - however, with all the best will in the world accidents happen. Ideally there will be an investigation, the cause of the problem found and something like that not happen again.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostWhat cunting ****ing difference does it make what the ****ing **** they are building?
NOBODY should be dying at work.
But, if people think the preparation for Brazil is bad, predictions for Qatar run into the hundreds if not more, due to the climate and general working conditions.
