I think it's wonderful. Nothing against Meulensteen cos he seems a decent bloke, but it's funny after United fans ensured his myth got totally out of hand.....and even funnier cos that absolute ****ing cunt Ray Wilkins is finding things rrrrrrrrrather tough ....totally out of his depth. Yet he sits there in the Sky studio trying to belittle multiple winners like Rafa Benitez. **** you Wilkins. **** you.

Aye, loved seeing his ugly bulging-eyed head stressing out yesterday.

EXCLUSIVE: Swansea City poised for managerial reshuffle

EXCLUSIVE: Swansea City poised for managerial reshuffle

MICHAEL Laudrup returns to the Liberty today with Swansea City poised to shake up their management team.

Swansea are back in training this morning having been given two days off following their bleak defeat at West Ham last weekend.

But there are question marks over who will be taking the session amid speculation that Laudrup is set to meet Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins to discuss the current malaise at the club.

The Evening Post understands Swansea’s owners are considering a managerial reshuffle which could see long-serving club skipper Garry Monk given a role on the coaching staff.

And it is also thought Swansea could promote Pep Clotet, the Spaniard who was recruited as the club’s academy consultant last November, to a role with the first team.

If the changes are made, doubt would be cast over the futures of Laudrup’s current backroom team – which includes the likes of Erik Larsen, Morten Wieghorst and Oscar Garcia - as well as that of the manager himself.

Rumours that Laudrup could face the sack emerged in the wake of the abject West Ham defeat, which left Swansea just two points clear of the Premier League relegation zone having won only once in their last ten top-flight games.

It would be a big call for Swansea to dismiss their manager for the first time in ten years – and it is also thought likely to cost the club millions of pounds.

But what Laudrup’s reaction will be if Swansea’s decision-makers press ahead with any backroom alterations remains to be seen.

The Dane, after all, ended up leaving previous club Real Mallorca when Erik Larsen – who is with him at Swansea - was shown the door.

Should changes be made to Laudrup's staff, there will be considerable doubt over whether he will be happy to continue as Swansea boss.

Monk, who has been a Swansea player for a decade, has long been earmarked as management material, and the 34-year-old is currently studying for his Uefa A licence.

Clotet, 36, has had spells coaching at Espanyol, Swedish pair Malmo and Halmstads, Norwegian club Viking and Malaga.

He is thought to have impressed Jenkins since agreeing to oversee the running of Swansea’s youth set-up two-and-a-half months ago.

They've been underwhelming this season, but I think Michu being injured has had a big impact for them. I think they'd be daft to sack him personally.

These chairmen are underestimating what a strange and difficult season this really is IMO. It's tight from 11-20th right now which means the league is very competitive.

Swansea have been one of the worst sides in the league though IMO. Look totally lifeless, no energy, no vigour, and seem to have no real plan other than pointless passing at the back. I think Laudrup did this in his last job - started off really well before pretty much falling off a cliff.

I think it is in some ways natural for a manager using that style without the money to keep investing. You will always have a thin squad where a couple of individual players are vital and creativity is hard to buy in. That is why a lot of teams have found less possession based approaches appealing - it is pretty easy to find players who are better than average at whipping the ball in or big lumps up top.

I think coaches probably need to be given a few opportunities to fail before being written off as managers. At the same time it is a different skill set and he could still be a really top coach even whilst being a **** manager.

Also it feels a bit like Fulham have set him and before him Jol up to fail by bringing in a ready made successor alongside them.

Yep, they need to get rid of him, he's destroying the good work previous managers have done. Averaging one point per game this season is horrendous given what he took over and the money spent.

And why does he seemingly like to buy non goalscoring attackers from the championship? Very odd!

It is as if the team lost interest in winning after the Carling cup win. Last season, at the time of the Carling cup win - they were safe from relegation and had qualified for Europe - the squad had nothing to play for. They seem to get into the let us get this season over mode. They seem to have never recovered from that.

Aye. Birmingham did similar. And we weren't great after winning that either.

laudrup dead man walking, just read this on the beeb...

Swansea City are set to reshuffle Michael Laudrup's backroom team.
Former captain Gary Monk is poised to take up a coaching post, along with recently appointed academy consultant Pep Clotet.
Manager Laudrup returns to the club on Tuesday having been in Paris for two days since his team's 2-0 defeat against West Ham.
Swansea are 12th in the Premier League, three points ahead of Cardiff City whom they face at home Saturday.
The move casts doubt over the future of Laudrup's current backroom team - including Erik Larsen, Morten Wieghorst and Oscar Garcia.
The fact that it has taken place while Laudrup was away from the club will also fuel speculation about the Dane's future.
Bookmakers have shortened the odds against his departure with the Swans slipping in the table after one win in 10 Premier League games.
However, club chairman Huw Jenkins has rejected reports that Laudrup's position is under discussion.
"I haven't heard anything in reference to Michael and neither have we met, or discussed, or done anything about Michael," said Jenkins.
"A couple of us did actually meet up on Sunday morning to have a cup of coffee like we normally do. That's as simple as it was. That's where the first rumour came from.
"It's difficult for me to say anything because there isn't anything to discuss."
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
