Billy Davies: Nottingham Forest sack manager

Nottingham Forest have confirmed they have sacked manager Billy Davies.

Former Leeds United and Notts County boss Colin ******, 65, is expected to be confirmed as Forest's new manager later on Monday.

Davies, 49, was fired in the wake of Saturday's humiliating 5-0 defeat against local rivals Derby County.

The result left the Reds a place and two points outside the Championship play-offs following an eight-game winless run.

BBC Sport has learned that ****** has agreed a contract until the end of the season and will be assisted by another former Notts County manager, Keith Curle.
