Top Trumps will be about how much dirty money your shady owner has access to.

"Today was finally the day, a day Roy had dreamt of for years.

He had come to the club as a respectable mid table proposition and under his leadership, the team were playing well and holding their own yet still not able to break into the top 8.

But now they find themselves in the cup final as underdogs against Manchester City, an insurmountable opposition but games against Newcastle, Leicester and Palace had shown them a way to win.

1-0 down, 2-0 down, 3-0 down. Everything looked lost but then a goal back, 3-1 and another to make it 3-2!

Roy couldn't believe his eyes, he never dreamed they could compete with a team like Manchester City but today was the day.

Today was the day Roy's club was bought by oil money.
    Was muß, das muß.

I wouldn't wish for any other owners, ours are the best.

Makes you wonder why they would've entertained buying us when they can get a decent brand for a fraction of the cost. Leeds, Newcastle, Villa and Notts Forest are 4 sides that would cost peanuts but that have a strong following

One if the ways they can get around the revenue issue us by selling players to each other, Newcastle will buy Fabien Delph this summer for £50m.....Just watch!

That only works one way and for a limited about of time, sure they could buy City players at inflated prices helping city out with FFP but they can only do it for so long if they are to meet FFP themselves, you could say that wouldn't matter unless they qualify for Europe, but surely that has to be the aim of buying them.

Also in paying over the odds they start to further inflate the market.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It was slightly in jest.....but they’ve already inflated the market when PSG bought Neymar.....things have gone nuts since

Because we're a huge global brand. A. £2bn purchase with not that much investment with our following might be better than £350m and a huge investment with a much smaller brand.

Considering how connected this guy is to the City owners, I wouldn't expect this lot to be winning any titles. Just running interference, snapping up players that we're after and sending buying City ****e for a premium. They won't give two ****s about Rafa. Plenty of Contes, Allegris, etc out there that will take the money and work with what they've got.

I don't see the point in that, it's not like City need the help, surely if they guy is buying a club it's because either he wants to further business interests and raise his profile in Europe/the West or he wants a play thing and will chuck a load of money at it, not sure which it will be but getting involved to help city out seems stupid

City bought clubs around the world and get them to pay millions for access to some bull**** player database. That's how far they'll go for domination.

I swear, I'm nearly done with football.
