Sporting integrity of the league. Everyone should play everyone else with the same squad so nobody gets to play weaker teams. The window should be shut when games are played. The Jan window isn't ideal, but pretty much marks the half way point so at least everyone generally plays the same number of games against the same squads. But it's not good enough and should be scrapped.Last edited by Kenneth; 06-02-20, 02:40 PM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

This is insane. Seems so arbitrary. Why 10cm? Why is 10cm ok? What if you're 11cm offside? Why is that offside and 10cm isn't? Why, in a bid to improve the current shambles, would they decide to piss around measuring 10 ****ing centimetres?!

I've posted on match day threads that the VAR implementation when it comes to offside is spot on. Offside is offside is offside . There's been a fair amount that disagree with that and the question then is 'well what's acceptable?' If this is the answer thenOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostThis is insane. Offside is offside. VAR is great when it comes to deciding that

This proposal isn't any more the answer than the current flawed system.Originally posted by Norbs View PostI've posted on match day threads that the VAR implementation when it comes to offside is spot on. You have defended it well admittedlyOriginally posted by dom9 View PostThis proposal isn't any more the answer than the current flawed system.

If having a buffer is the answer then it surely only muddies the water more

Well no.Originally posted by Norbs View PostYou have defended it well admittedly

Make the buffer out of something you can measure accurately. Like pixels on the screen you're viewing the replay on. Not centimetres on a football pitch.
It's not just a case of accurately measuring distances, but of timing and velocity.
Anyway, I'm on the road to going on about it again so I'll just....Oh I don't know.

So if the equipment that measures offside is exact, then is having a zero buffer ok?Originally posted by dom9 View PostWell no.

Cool. So they need to improve the measuring device/method but essentially offside's sorted by VAR. Begs the question, sorry, that if the current equipment is giving a blurred result then any buffer needs to work in both directions therefore the middle reading is still the sameOriginally posted by dom9 View PostYes, but it isn't.
