Sky Sports sources understand Turkish club Galatasaray are interested in signing Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam.

The 28-year-old joined Stoke on a four-year contract from Liverpool in the summer of 2012 and is the club's top scorer in the Premier League this season.

Adam's fine strike in Sunday's 5-3 home defeat by his former club Liverpool was his fifth in the league this term and his form has attracted interest from Galatasaray.

Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is now in charge of Galatasaray and has been linked with several Premier League players, in addition to Adam.

Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic, Chelsea skipper John Terry and Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna are also reported to be targets for Mancini.

Kenwyne Jones has been fined two weeks' wages by Stoke City after texting manager Mark Hughes to say he was unavailable to play against Liverpool.
The Trinidad and Tobago striker was hit with an £80,000 penalty after failing to report for Sunday's game.
Jones, who has six months left on his contract, contacted his manager on Saturday night to say he had no intention of turning up at the Britannia Stadium.
