fan arrested over fish dumping stunt
PAOK fan accused of dumping crate of fish on Olympiakos bench
Police in Thessaloniki have arrested a PAOK fan accused of dumping a crate of fish on the visiting Olympiakos bench.
A 34-year-old man covered the bench in several kilograms of anchovies in a stunt that delayed a tense Greek Cup semi-final for more than an hour.
Olympiakos's home ground is in the port of Piraeus, and the club's supporters are nicknamed 'anchovies'.
PAOK won 1-0 on Wednesday but the game was repeatedly halted by brawls on the pitch and three players were sent off.

Enough contact to do whatever he wants. Those things hurt. Everybody's body is different and they react differently to pain.Originally posted by Trippendicular View PostThere was slight contact, but not enough for Suarez to go rolling around on the ground.Patience when teased often, transforms into rage

Sometimes slight contact can hurt far more than some big lug sliding in on you, you know about it and feel it if someone skims your ankle with their toe for instance, catching you right on the bone.
We've often seen the most innocuous looking tackle do real damage to a players career.Last edited by Vermilion; 18-04-14, 07:21 AM.

I think the booking for showing an imaginary yellow card is a bit of a joke TBH (not in all cases). I think it happened with Aspas earlier in the season and is quite common with foreign players (and not because they are all cheats as they have you believe), but if they haven’t fully learned the language and can’t communicate with the referee, then it’s natural to try and illustrate it another way. It’s similar to a manager who’s on the touchline and has no other way to communicate to the ref.
Why that is so demonised, yet someone like Rooney can scream ‘**** OFF REF, **** OFF, YOU HAVE TO SEND HIM OFF’ and not even get a warning pisses me off.
I suppose it’s no different to diving which is so heavily frowned upon compared to potential leg breaking challenges, because they are part of the great British game.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I detest any player waving an imaginery card at the ref, its a cunts trick to try and get another player booked. Wanting to get an opponent into trouble is unsporting. I would ban someone for 3 months. They wouldn't do it again in a hurry.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

If you want to stamp things out the punishment must be hard. I'd have terry shot in the head just because he's terry. Bye John.Originally posted by john316 View Post3 months?
What about John Terry then trying to get Chico Flores sent off last Sunday with a quiet chat?Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
