Given most pens are scored, by your own logic it is usually a disadvantage. I see no problem with moving to ABBA other than some people not liking change.Originally posted by Abro100 View PostThink it's crap. The disadvantage to the second team is only if the first team score. Just leave it as it is. If the first team miss the second score 2 it's then flipped.

Instead of fiddling things that are not broken why not try doing something about 'shielding'
It's ****ing horse**** a defender can run away from the ball to obstruct an attacker trying any way possible to get it and as soon as the attacking player breathes on the defender they are penalised.
Still, at least it distracts them from changing the offside rule... againFootball without Origi is nothing

I don’t think it’s necessary at all. Did I hear that the statistics are that 55% of teams that hit the first pen go on to win?Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostGiven most pens are scored, by your own logic it is usually a disadvantage. Now if the rule was that the home team always hit the first pen, there may be an argument for the change, but the fact you have a 50/50 toss to decide who goes first, makes it pointless IMO. So statistically if you have a 50% chance of hitting the first pen, then worse case scenario a 45% chance of winning the shootout, surely the overall difference is negligible.
If anything advantage will always go to the team shooting in front of their own supporters, whereas before it was balanced out by the order. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
