I don't think it was. The guy was already on his way down before the contact which didn't look deliberate.

It does really, if someone sticks their foot under yours it can't be a foul. A foul has to be deliberate or reckless, I don't think it was either really. Either way, it was one of those marginal calls where VAR will not provide certainly that people supposedly crave. And I've never heard of James Tarkowski either.

you can have accidental foul play. A clumsy tackle etc. Agree that this is where football is going to be a bit different than other sports, there are a lot of decisions that people will disagree with that are down to interpretation. However there are loads of those anyway and this should eradicate the ‘howler’ (in theory).
