Careless can be enough to call a foul. If Chiesa is genuinely only stopped by Tarkowski standing on his foot then it's undoubtedly a foul IMO.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostIt does really, if someone sticks their foot under yours it can't be a foul. A foul has to be deliberate or reckless, I don't think it was either really. Either way, it was one of those marginal calls where VAR will not provide certainly that people supposedly crave. And I've never heard of James Tarkowski either.
Thing is Chiesa had already started his dive having seen someone else's challenge coming in. Unfortunately just like with about half a dozen Spurs cons it has done the job.Like blood on iron

watched the second half and it finished 6-1. Although Messi wasn't playing Spain looked superb, Costa fit and firing up front giving them the balance they lacked previously. Isco absolute class in midfield.Originally posted by rodo View Postaspas just scored for spain to make it 5-1 against argentina
7/1 for the WC - decent odds.
Saw most of Germany vs Brazil - no Neymar but Brazil also looked v good, Germany lacking a top striker.

This story is ****ing disgraceful. Works out around £5m a season which is well within their financial capability to pay themselves. I bet a threat of a point deduction would be got them to beef up security out of their own pocket

A lot of people got the hump with West Ham getting the stadium on the cheap, but the deal has been a disaster for pretty much everyone involved.Originally posted by Norbs View Posthttp://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43584859

It's a complete mess and West Ham are stuck with a stadium they don't own and which is not fit for purpose. They've lost their identity, the past belongs to a time that already seems from a bygone age, and the future is really bleak.
They've gone from having a truly unique and passionate identity almost to MK Dons. A complete **** up and it's no wonder the fans are dismayed.
Quite sad really that a corner of British football culture is gone forever in the name of incompetence, making a quick buck, and trying to crowbar a square peg into an oval hole.Oh I don't know.

Yeah I get all that.Originally posted by Norbs View Post**** em, it should've been the new home for Leyton Orient anyway. Getting what they (the owners) deserve now. I hope they go down and sink even further
We hate lots of teams and aspects of football, but when something like this happens, whatever the owners deserve is not so important.
H&G nearly killed our club. Did we deserve that fate? No. We're just supporting a football team and hope that those entrusted with running it at least competent.
So as much as we might hate West Ham or not, their failure is a partly a failure on what we all are in this for.
Rivalry.Oh I don't know.

I don't hate West Ham and their fans are pretty genuine but it's great watching other teams in dire straits. The bigger the team the funnier it is. I'll enjoy watching Trevor Brooking and Shane Ritchie cry. They'll possibly be replaced by Wolves or Fulham in the premier league. Wolves have far more history than WHU and Fulham are a well run family club with a neutral ground that never sees crowd trouble. WHU?Originally posted by dom9 View PostYeah I get all that.
