Killing some time watching the women's England team play Argentina.
Two immediate observations about Argentina.
1. They are awful apart from the exceptional goalie.
2. They are also dirty as ****, just like their male South American counterparts.
Both teams are awful. The standard of football, considering it's supposed to be a World Cup is terrible. I wasn't expecting it to be the same style as the men's game but no-one can string more than a couple of passes before giving it away.

That’s harsh on England, I was pleasantly surprised at how well they passed at times, especially leading to the goal. Yes, there are some Sunday league moments but no denying the women’s game is on a serious upward trajectory.
