Apparently his dad is his agent.. Personal terms agreed..
The stumbling block is not so much the asking price but how to structure the payments..

Bit like taking out a mortgage

Some people were suggesting that £7m for a youngster like Ilori was not significant, but if the stumbling block with this transfer is a lack of money up front then I'm sure the odd £7m here and there spent on fringe players would be quite useful right now. Even half of that money spent on a fringe player might be all that would be needed to seal a deal. I know we don't know anything really , but I think money is tighter than some would believe.

Maybe Ayre was demanding a ride on each of the agents shoulders as part of the deal.

Proper stress. Wasted a day at work and got month end coming up. Will be p1ssed if we dont do this deal

Times like this where the money wasted in the summer really comes home to slap us in the face

Thought you were pissed off at us going for an attacker as we dont need one?

Come on, man! If you were the selling club and Ayre rocked up on God's shoulders are you really going to say no? Although that said I'd probably drag out the negotiations too just so I got to spend more time with fowler
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
